Retardation More Condition_symptoms What Are Some Creative Art Activities To Use With Students Who Have Mental Retardation?

What are some creative art activities to use with students who have mental retardation? - retardation more condition_symptoms

I volunteer at the North Mississippi Regional Center for mental retardation. I work in a classroom with seven students, all of whom have mental retardation. Some students with disabilities are more than others in terms of fitness. I need creative ideas for the time of his "art" that benefit the class as a whole.

+ Finger painting
+ Together for color on a large sheet of paper to a large picture
+ Pieces of colored felt-producing (again) in various forms on colored paper and glued.
+ The same with pieces of construction paper in different colors (left-overs from other classes is recycled very well -!
+ Place fingerprints into small squares of white paper or semi-painted posters. Put your name on the back. Be cute at a later forms - ladybugs, etc., with black feathers.
+ Favorite with black "blur". They are beautiful, no matter what color they are and very cheap! Ask parents to donate a dollar or two for the purchase of a blur, if necessary. Then give the children back home to their dorms.
+ Make your own bookmarks stiff poster board with photos, posters, finger paint on. It sold 10 or 25 cents, to raise money for the class to do something special.
+ Teaching Watercolor .. Cheap, but beautiful. Framework of the best photos in black paper. Some of them could be sold and used the money for a project or classgive the child and family.

Take advantage of all materials of "art" in front of them and told them to do what they want. Their ideas in their activities. Take the raw materials that spontaneously stopped and structure into something coherent, it must do some work on this issue.
Someone once said that the new benefit of the masses to know and understand in context and then again.
Great job. Congratulations.

I want to take art in the elementary school (5 to 8) seems to work well for us. If you are looking cut for arts and crafts through the ages, you find the good stuff

If possible, try to jump on watercolor paper with straws ... I saw this year and to love the children ... It winds sorta like painting ... It also depends on the mentality

If you are a mixture of shaving cream and glue, puffy paint that is really cool. You can also use food coloring to color. If stain is not empty, but the finger. I have a snowman with him, and when it dries, it is inflated.
